TGA games of Year 2019-2014

Last issue we discussed The Game Awards (TGA) in recent years. In this issue, we'll take a look at the games that won the TGA in the five years from 2014 to 2019.

2019--<Sekiro: Shadowos Die Twice>

It is a third-person perspective action-adventure RPG created by From Software, in which the player will control a ninja to save his master, Mikoto, who is a mighty man of Japanese noble blood, and take revenge on his natural enemy. The game has been released worldwide on 22 March 2019, and supports the Chinese version.
The plot of the game will explore the brutal Japanese Warring States period in the late 16th century, where life and death are in constant conflict. In the dark, twisted world, the player confronts life-threatening enemies, living with his prosthetic hand to equip a variety of deadly weapons, showing off his ninja skills, sneaking, travelling up and down in bloody confrontations, and fiercely engaging with his enemies head-on.

Though the game's conception of the mysterious Japanese Warring States period (between 1467 and 1615) is almost identical to that of the previous FS titles, Only Wolf is immediately unique in its sneaking, fighting, and movement gameplay thanks to the Swiss Army Knife-like "prosthetic hand" on the protagonist's body. One of the most important skills is using the claw hook that comes with the prosthetic hand to fly around, a skill that will have a profound impact on gameplay. Unlike Dark Souls and Bloodborne Curse, where the protagonist could only walk close to the ground and climb slowly, Only Wolf's level design is much more three-dimensional. Because the protagonist has the ability to jump and cross-fly between anchor points, the sense of desperate fear that players have experienced in the past -- of being cornered, surrounded, and then dying under a flurry of knives if they ever walk into a dead end -- is virtually non-existent in this game. When I'm in trouble, I can basically find a way to live if I think like a ninja instead of acting with the mindset of a knight.

2018--<God of War>

God of War is a third-person action-adventure game created by Sony Computer Entertainment Santa Monica Studio, released on 20 April 2018 for PS4 and 14 January 2022 for PC.
As a proper sequel to God of War 3, the game differs from its predecessor's setting of the Greek gods in that it tells the story of Quintus, a man who lives outside the shadows of the gods and embarks on a new journey in the strange land of Northern Europe, where he and his son, Atreus, will venture through the savage wilderness of the Nordic lands and fight along the way in order to accomplish a goal that is close to his heart [21]. goal that is close to his heart.
The game was nominated for multiple gaming awards, including TGA Game of the Year 2018, IGN Game of the Year 2018, and D.I.C.E Game of the Year, and its successor, God of War: Twilight of the Gods, which launches in 2022, reveals how Quintus and his son will become entangled with the gods of the Nordic world after this journey.

The game's system architecture has changed significantly from its predecessor in the series, not inheriting the 3D third-person platform jumping action combat laid down in the first generation of the game, but instead changing it to behind-the-back over-the-shoulder point-of-view action combat, which is not first-person but is closer to the feeling of a subjective point-of-view.
The game adds a special attack warning mechanism because the over-the-shoulder view cannot cover the sides and back. When an enemy from the side or behind is ready to attack, the player will be alerted with an arrow in the corresponding direction. In addition, Atreus will also sound a warning.
Atreus' son is not only the key to the storyline, but also plays an important role in the adventures and battles. During battles, Atreus will support Quintus in a guerrilla style, using his mother's claw bow to hold his enemies at bay, or jumping on their shoulders and strangling them with his claw bow.

2017--<The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild>

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo Planning and Production Headquarters and co-developed by Monolith Soft for the 19th entry in the main Legend of Zelda series, which was released on 3 March 2017 on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
The game takes place 100 years after the demise of the Kingdom of Helaru, where a cataclysmic disaster once struck the kingdom to bring about its demise, and the protagonist, Link, awakens in the underground ruins, where he traces the uncanny voices and embarks on an adventurous journey.
The game won TGA Game of the Year, Best Game Design, and Best Action-Adventure Game on 8 December 2017; GameSpot Game of the Year on 23 December 2017; EDGE Game of the Year on 5 January 2018; GDC Best Game Sound, Best Game Design, and Game of the Year on 24 March 2018; and GDC Game of the Year on 3 SXSW Awards for Best Gameplay, Best Game Design and Game of the Year on 18 March 2018.

The atmosphere of freedom and adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is quite remarkable. From the very beginning of the game, you're free to explore every corner of Hyrule, discovering mysterious landmarks that pique your curiosity, complex hidden puzzles, enemy camps where you can cut down treasure and weapons, and much more. You can explore at your own pace, without being distracted by the main story. What's even more impressive about the game is that the whole thing blends perfectly with the complexity of a survival game!

2016--<Overwatch>

Overwatch (OW) is a first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released on 24 May 2016 worldwide.
The Overwatch game is set on a futuristic Earth and follows the feuds and entanglements of humans, Overwatch members, and intelligent machinery. Each hero has their own iconic weapons and skills.
At 24:00 on 3 October 2022, the current version of Watchmen shut down , and officially launched Watchmen: The Return on 5 October.
The story takes place in the early 1920s of the 21st century, where humans have designed intelligent machinery created by artificial intelligence (referred to as Smart machines), which are designed to enhance production and create economic prosperity in the world. However, the unthinkable happened; the Smart machines became filled with malice and began mass-producing military robots in an attempt to destroy humanity.

Governments failed to stop the attack of the Intelligent Machines, so the United Nations created an international peacekeeping organisation to fight back against the Intelligent Machines. Seeking to change his life, Jerott embarks on a new personal mission, and the world order is quietly changing.

2014--<Dragon Age: Inquisition>

Dragon Age: Inquisition is a single-player role-playing game released on 18 November 2014, produced by BioWare and published by EA. It is the third instalment in the Dragon Age series.
The story of the game begins during the Cataclysmic Event, a time when the continent of Thedas is plunged into chaos, dragons envelop the world, formerly peaceful lands are transformed into places of war, and wizards will be pitted against Templars in an all-out confrontation, as the player takes control of a new race of people to redefine the order and break down the chaos - and the player's actions will change the Dragon Age the world forever.
In the 40th year of the Dragon Age, the rivalry between the Ring of Mages and the Templars in Kirkwall quickly turned into a dispute across the continent of Cedars.
At the time, Pope Gastania V of the Holy See invited the key leaders of the Mage Ring and the Templars to gather at the Temple of the Sacred Grey in Androste, located in the Frostbite Ridge Mountains, in the hope of clearing up the misunderstandings between the two sides.
Who would have thought that right in the very centre of the sacred and the most heavily defended place in all of the continent of Cedars a massive arcane explosion would occur, tearing through the sky and opening up the passage between material space and the Shadow Realm.
Huge numbers of demons and spirit evils swarmed out and went on a burning rampage. And our protagonist, a human nobleman who joined the Order as a child to prepare for greatness was caught up in the beginning the protagonist was in the Shadow Realm, giant spiders lurking all around chasing their prey, and just in the nick of time at the end, a mysterious female green shadow pulled the protagonist's left hand to send the protagonist out of the Shadow Realm.
Escaping the death crisis, the protagonist finds himself in another crisis, apparently arrested due to the green soul marking left on his left hand, which the reckless pursuer Cassandra mistook for the cause of the explosion.

However, after Lillian intervenes, Cassandra agrees to let the protagonist show that he is still worth "using" by sealing the rift with the green mark on his left hand. The protagonist, under Cassandra's supervision, must make his way up from the fortress at the base of the mountain to the place where the rift occurred.
While travelling to a small supply depot, the rift spews out demons, and the protagonist takes up arms and begins to fight alongside Cassandra.
