I need to buy this occasionally. When I travel, I have the Surface Pro. I recently spent a week in a conference meeting and was asked to put together a Visio / Lucid Chart type diagram. This can be done with such a small screen. I came up with this extra display. Ordered it and had it sent to the hotel I was at. Nice big extra monitor that easily plugs into my mini display port adapter. It works great.
I am very happy to get this monitor because I am looking for a relatively low-cost way to expand my desktop screen when I edit videos in Final Cut Pro. The package is compact and contains everything I need so I can get it up and running. But then I encountered an obstacle. I cannot get my desktop Mac to recognize that I have a separate monitor plugged in. So I was a little anxious until for some reason, I unplugged the monitor, and everything worked fine. Obviously, the monitor gets sufficient power from the desktop computer via the USB-C cable. I tried to use the power brick as the power source, and also tried to use the AC adapter (included), but it didn't work. Plug in these two power sources, the monitor can not accept the signal from the desktop.
