The display is great. After figuring out the connectors, the travel monitor will work fine.
However, I had trouble getting it to work. At home, when plugged into a laptop and connected to USB C, it works fine. On the go, it doesn't work - blinks briefly, then shuts down automatically. The laptop I'm using uses another slightly more compact power supply, no problem, but I'm wondering if it somehow provides a little less total power?
So, I bought a second USB C cable to add external power to the monitor. Still didn't work. Eventually tried the manufacturer's troubleshooting advice and got the HDMI to mini-HDMI cable and it worked fine.
In between, I think it caused the laptop to crash. I left the USB C to USB C connector connected and I think it did something when it went into sleep mode (power drain). It happened twice, and then never once stopped using the USB C to USB C connection!
